They went out in Slayer style, with all the great one-liners, guts, honor – and love – they gave us for seven of television’s best years.
It’s funny, at one point in the show tonight, Buffy looked at Angel and said that even in the midst of all the chaos, she was coming to see some things more clearly. And interestingly enough, just as the show was coming to a close these last few weeks, I really began to understand why I have been a devoted Buffy fan since the first episode. Partly, it’s because beating the Big Bad is always a rush. Mostly, it’s because the happy is always better than shoe shopping.
